Hello all !

Enjoying the winter much? Unless you have been skiing in the past few months, you are still missing out on the fun !

As for now, there have already been more than 20 people signing up for the ski trip. For those of you who planned to go but haven't signed up, please do it immediately.

The last day to sign up for this trip will be this Saturday January 28,2012.

Be a Global Academic Peer Advisor !

Newnan LSA Academic Advising Center now hiring Global Academic Peer Advisors !

Details:

  • For global students & Final Fall Orientations
  • August 24 – 30, 2012
  • GAPA Training: August 22 – 23
  • Earn $425 the final week of Summer
  • Expected workload: 50 hours @ $8.50 per hour

Main duties:

  • Assist LSA Academic Advisors in various presentations during global student and Final Fall 2012 Orientations
  • Help global students become familiar with the LSA Course Guide, Wolverine Access, and other web-based resources
  • Provide guidance during backpacking and registration
  • Help with other global student and Final Fall 2012 Orientation tasks as assigned

Minimum qualifications:

  • LSA undergraduate student in good academic standing
  • Excellent listening and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of online LSA Course Guide and Wolverine Access
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
  • Global Student

Desired qualification:

  • Active Involvement in campus and/or community organizations

Sports Day @ MSU

The Malaysian Students Association at Michigan State has invited us to participate in a “Sports Day” that will be held over there in East Lansing on the 11th of February from 10.00am to 6.30pm. The sports that have been suggested are futsal, ping pong and volleyball (for the guys) and futsal, ping pong, traditional games and netball (for the girls).

Be an Orientation Leader this summer !

The Office of New Student Programs employs enthusiastic and resourceful students as Orientation Leaders to assist with summer new student and parent orientation. The Orientation Leader staff will be representative of our diverse undergraduate population.

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for a balance of academic year, areas of study, and cultural diversity. For duties, expectations, and employment conditions of parent and student leaders, please attend a mass meeting.
